She Speaks: Young Women on Faith, Climate Justice and Transformational Acts

Let’s show our BVI Love and support as our two (2) Road Town Girls’ Brigade members, 17-year-old Chris-Tiyah Roberts and 21-year-old Chris-Tiann Roberts speak on Wednesday, 16 March 2022 (8:00am -10:00am AST) at the Girls’ Brigade International parallel event of the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women[1] (CS66 2022) entitled “She Speaks: Young Women on Faith, Climate Justice & Transformational Acts”.


The sixty-sixth session of the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women will take place from 14 to 25 March 2022 at the United Nations Head Quarters in New York. Due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSW66 will take place in a hybrid format. All side events and parallel events will be fully virtual. Our Team from the Road Town Girls’ Brigade will join leaders from Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Zambia and they will share how climate change has impacted their own families and communities as well as how they are advocating for change thus demonstrating how engaging young women of faith is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of SDGs and achieving gender and climate justice.
